Things I've worked on over the years.

I've worked on tons of projects over the years, either as part of an agency or on my own. Anything that I am working on on the side is going to be open source. Feel free to ask me about any of these!

Side Projects

These are mostly small projects and repositories for stuff I wanted or needed.

  • Job Application Tracker

A NextJS app for me to keep track of where and when I've applied.

A CLI tool that I built to browse boardgame and user data on BoardGameGeek.com. Made with Python.

  • Astro frontend for my site

Currently a work in progress, but so far mostly functional Astro build to replace my current website but keep the WordPress backend.

  • Gutenberg Block with Interactivity API

An example for a block I built for a client project recently. It makes use of the WordPress Interactivity API to search for books on the openlibrary.org API.

At WebDevStudios

Most of these projects are complete rebuilds of existing websites with a new design and at times a migration to WordPress. This list is by no means exhaustive, but does represent most of the last four years of my time there.

  • Freeman.com

A full rebuild and migration of existing WordPress content into a new installation (multisite to single site). A Full Site Editing theme with custom Gutenberg blocks and API integrations.

    freeman.com

  • ChristianityToday.com

This was a full rebuild with a custom design in WordPress. Includes a wide array of features and customized integrations like Amazon, Google Ads, Piano as well as a custom WordPress blocks.

    christianitytoday.com

  • ChurchLawAndTax.com

A full rebuild with a custom design in WordPress. Includes an Algolia integration too, as well as Piano for paywalls and authentication.

    churchlawandtax.com

  • Campbell's LATAM

A custom implementation of an existing theme for the LATAM market. For MX, this includes changes that needed to be made to the Nutritional Facts Panel that is displayed on products. For both sites a significant amount of product data needed to be migrated into Spanish.

Conference and Meetup Talks

It has been a while, and a pandemic definitely hasn't helped here, but I've given conference talks before too.
